What We Are
A House Church. Small by Design.
Spiritual Messiah Ministries is a house church — small by design, intimate by conviction. Founded in 2011, SMM is built around the belief that faith is not primarily a Sunday morning event. It is a daily practice of showing up for the people around you, especially those the world has pushed to the margins.
What does love require of us here, today, in this community?
That question is the anchor. Everything SMM does flows from it.
The Through-Line
Faith and Advocacy Are the Same Work
For Red Conrad, ministry and community advocacy are not separate callings wearing different hats. They are the same calling expressed in different rooms.
The work of PCHSC, the peer support work at Meridian, the pastoral presence of SMM — they all flow from the same source. People experiencing homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges are not a cause. They are neighbors.
Matthew 25 doesn’t ask us to help them from a distance. It asks us to be with them.
That is what SMM tries to be.
Who SMM Is For
Present With People. Not Sorting Them.
SMM is a Christian community — but one that understands the church’s first job is to be present with people, not to sort them. If you follow Jesus and are looking for a faith community built around Matthew 25 in a real and practical way, you may have found a home.
